Banjo: Tell me about Quokka Squad, your first book.

Ian: It’s an adventure set on an island, which remains nameless. The siblings discover a problem that needs solving and quickly realise they’ll only succeed if they work together.

Vicki: The storyline gives readers a chance to really get to know each character. It explores resilience, communication, and teamwork — but in a fun, fast-moving way.

Ian: We also introduce other anthropomorphic Australian animals who interact with the Quokka family and help move the plot along.

Vicki: The mystery they face becomes a catalyst for growth. Each sibling has to step outside their comfort zone — and that’s something to which children can relate.
