Welcome to Crow's Feet Books

G'day! Welcome to Crow's Feet Books where native Australian animals leap off the page and into young imaginations.

If you've ever wondered what a quokka family might get up to on Rottnest Island, or whether a koala named Nigel could become a proud Cub Scout despite some rather embarrassing digestive issues, you've come to the right place. Our stories are unashamedly Australian, full of heart, and designed to make kids (and grown-ups) laugh out loud.

We're Vicki, Ian, and John - a team of writers, storytellers, and illustrators based in Queensland. Vicki brings the grammar (and the apostrophe patrol), Ian brings the wild tangents and story ideas, and John brings the animal characters to life with his drawings. Together, we create picture books that spark a love of reading, language, and thinking.

From the Quokka sQuad's adventures across Australia - Uluru, Cairns, the Nullarbor Plain - to Gilbert and Poo Long's friendship tales, to Nigel Koala's lessons about acceptance and being yourself, our books invite children to wonder, explore, and discover the magic of imagination.

So stick around! This blog will be home to news about new releases, behind-the-scenes stories from our creative process (including Ian's capacity to go off on tangents), and the occasional peek at what happens when you let native Australian animals become the heroes of their own adventures.
